Raleigh Hills, Portland
Zilka Construction worked with Drake’s 7 Landscaping to produce a minimalist, linear, and open design, in keeping with the style of this mid-Century home. The project resulted in individually poured pads with a sand finish for the entry walkways, and an adjoining paved patio area.
Irvington, Portland
In this extensive, basement remodel project for Neil Kelly,
Zilka Construction handled all framing, along with excavation and installation of historically appropriate egress window wells, in the property’s stone-built basement.
North Albina, Portland
Along with the remodel of the existing basement into a separate apartment, Zilka Construction also excavated the front yard, and created an ADA compliant ramped entrance, with integrated retaining walls
Irvington, Portland
ZIlka Construction undertook a tear-down of the original garage, the redesign and build in keeping with the historic nature of the main house.
This new design resulted in a two-car garage, a workshop, and studio apartment with bath and kitchen.
Inner Eastside, Portland
Having purchased and refurbished a 10-unit apartment block, the new owner decided to create an exterior space to enhance the lives of his tenants and contracted Zilka Construction to rework the rear of the property. Along with the extensive concrete and paving work, a flexible greenhouse space and communal seating area were the results.

The owner commissioned Zilka Construction to excavate, and create a completely new, 8ft ceiling basement, and to extend the rear of the property by 12 feet to include a shed dormer addition.
